The fashionable colours for the season

Looking to do some shopping and treat yourself? Here are a couple fashion tips for the season.

Trend Setting Colours for Autumn / Winter 2020

No matter what the season, classic colour tones are always a staple in every wardrobe. Splurging on essentials in basic colours is where you should be making your biggest investment as they will never go out of style and can be worn all year round, year after year. Everyone knows that Black is a classic go to staple, but not many know that shades of Grey, Brown and even Navy Blue and some shades of Green are as well.

I remember when I was younger hearing that you can't mix certain basic colours together... boy was that wrong! Yes you can mix them...basics go with everything including each other. Try mixing black and browns together, navy blue with greys and a rich dark green like a Forest, Khaki, Mossy Green or an Olive with black or grey. Any of these palettes with an accented seasonal colour will make you feel great, and have you on trend for the season. Every season has its own colour pallet that is on trend, and this year Autumn / Winter is no different. This season purchase accent items in:

Sorbet Pink Samba Celery Cerulean Blue

Burnt Orange / Henna Terra-Cotta Mustard Yellow

For Autumn / Winter, collecting your basic colours and pairing them with fun pops of colour is a must! Trendy seasonal colours are great to start with small accents, giving you that colour without a large investment. Try dressing head to toe in your basic colour palette, and accenting with bright earrings, a chunky coloured necklace, a patterned scarf, funky pair of shoes or an adorable handbag. Once that colour has gone out of style you don't feel so bad about donating it or pushing it to the back of your closet until it comes back into style. It's the little bits of colour that go a long way. If you are a little bit more adventurous, investing in a beautiful blouse, or cozy trend setting sweater might be an excellent option for you. My personal motto is always go big or go home! I myself take the later option and choose pieces that I know I will wear again or watch sales and add to my wardrobe with inexpensive fun options. No matter what avenue you decide to take, you can always be in fashion.
